Meuble en bois : Comment le relooker ?

Retaper d’anciens meubles est tendance depuis quelques années. Si la peinture est la solution la plus pratique pour donner une nouvelle allure à un meuble en bois, AZUREL vous donne quelques astuces pour le relooker.
1. Sachez qu’il faut préparer votre support. En cas de meuble verni, il faut le poncer. En cas de meuble peint ou brut, il faut également le poncer, mais avec un papier à poncer plus fin. Lisser la surface vous permettra de peindre plus facilement et d’avoir un rendu homogène
2. Retirez tous les éléments du meuble : poignées, tiroirs et portes….avant de commencer à peindre
3. Appliquez une sous-couche de primer universel afin de permettre à la finition qui sera choisie, de bien s’accrocher et d’empêcher le tanin du bois de remonter
4. Puis, une fois sec 24h après, appliquez deux couches de peinture. Choisissez une peinture adaptée spéciale pour le bois, acrylique (à l’eau) ou glycéro (à l’huile), en fonction de la destination de votre meuble (salle de bains ou cuisine)
5. Enfin, laissez libre cours à votre créativité ! Le bois est une matière qui se marie avec bon nombre de couleurs. Donnez du pep’s à votre meuble en optant pour la couleur de votre choix. Quelques pistes : Des couleurs vives pour un style arty (jaune ou bleu électrique), du blanc ou beige pour un esprit bohème, du gris foncé ou noir pour une touche moderne…
